Andrew Fischer has a real head for business. The Web-page designer who put his forehead for sale on eBay as advertising space received $37,375 to display the logo for SnoreStop. Fischer, 20, of Omaha, Neb., will wear it for a month. Better not be caught snoring on the job.
Don't be such a hog, Phil
On Groundhog Day, all you hear is Punxsutawney Phil this, Punxsutawney Phil that. Now he could get some competition from a real hog. While groundhog Phil will be looking for his shadow in Pennsylvania on Wednesday (2/2), Lil Bit, the 65-pound potbellied pig will be doing the same in Lexington, Ky. The city is famous for its pigs, but they're usually smothered in barbecue sauce.
Nitwit alert
Police in Delaware say that after two men robbed a woman, one of them called the victim on his cell phone to apologize -- and to ask her out on a date. The victim, 18, was not as stupid and said no. Instead, she gave the cell phone number to police, who arrested Brent Brown, 25.
Now that's cold
Ever see the Will Ferrell movie Old School? Some Duke University students apparently did. They were found in a fraternity house basement with an inflatable pool, a bounty of baby oil and bikini-clad babes, reminiscent of a scene in the movie. Police came along after a noise complaint. They cleared the house of 200 partiers, sending some of the women home in subfreezing temperatures in nothing more than bikinis.
