Recruiting rules

DO'S AND DON'TS

A host's job isn't merely fun and games. Not in this day and age, just a year after a recruiting scandal at Colorado prompted congressional hearings and the emergency passage of NCAA reform measures. Hosts receive $30 a day to entertain recruits. They are encouraged to spend all the money, but the NCAA does not require receipts.

Some of the things on the no-no list:

Alcohol

Drugs

Arrangement of sexual favors or strippers

Gambling

Contact with a sports agent
