MILWAUKEE - Christina Quaye had 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting and added six rebounds as Marquette took an early lead and cruised to a 67-41 win against USF on Friday night.

"I give credit to my guards," Quaye said. "We were able to see they were playing high side and they looked to me and got me the ball."

Anedra Gilmore scored 16 and Jessica Dickson 12 for the Bulls. Rachael Sheats added six rebounds for USF, which lost its fifth straight road game and fell to 0-11 against Marquette, a future Big East foe.

The Bulls scored their fewest this season and suffered their worst loss since 87-55 to Tulane on Feb. 14, 2003.

Quaye scored eight of Marquette's first 12 as the Golden Eagles (13-6, 4-2 C-USA) took a 12-4 lead. She finished the half with 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting.

Marquette struggled early in the second half, making only three of its first 11 shots, but used a late second-half run to put the Bulls (14-7, 4-3) away for good.

The Golden Eagles shot 31-of-55 (56.4 percent) for the game. The 31 field goals tied a season high and were an Al McGuire Center record.

Marquette worked together to break the USF press early in the game, an area the team had struggled with.

"We watched their press on film and we wanted to break the press and take the shots we wanted," coach Terri Mitchell said. "We didn't let them speed things up, we played our game. Everyone was on the same page tonight and executed."

The Bulls continued to feel the loss of center Nalini Miller. Marquette outscored USF 48-6 in the paint, and 13 of the Golden Eagles' first 14 baskets were inside.

Marquette also finished with a season-high 25 assists.

"Everybody was involved," Mitchell said. "Everybody was giving the ball up for each other, it was a total team effort. We can't go anywhere without collectively working for team goals."

NO. 17 DePAUL 85, UAB 52: Caprice Smith had 19 points and seven rebounds for the host Blue Demons.

Smith was perfect from the free-throw line and 6-of-14 from the floor. Teammate Khara Smith had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

DePaul trailed the Blazers 13-12 early but went on a 16-4 run at the end of the first half to take a 45-27 lead.

NO. 7 KENTUCKY: Forward Chuck Hayes will start today at Arkansas, four days after breaking his nose in a victory over Tennessee.

Hayes, who has started 93 straight games for the Wildcats, has worn a protective mask during practices since Thursday and will have it on for the game.

Coach Tubby Smith said Hayes was "a little sore and a little uncomfortable" during practice Thursday. Smith said he didn't know how long Hayes would wear the mask but said it shouldn't affect his performance.

"He's a guy that's in there mixing it up, which is where he's most effective for us," Smith said. "He's not a guy out there on the perimeter, where (the mask) might block his vision. He's not a jump shooter."

Hayes, who is averaging 11.1 points and 9.1 rebounds, broke his nose when Tennessee's Andre Patterson inadvertently elbowed him with 6:30 left in the first half Tuesday night.

S. CAROLINA: Two Gamecocks games will be seen by U.S. servicemen around the world next month. ETV Sports will broadcast the game with Arkansas on Feb. 2 and with Auburn on Feb. 12 through the Armed Forces Network.
