Code Enforcement Board applications available

PINELLAS PARK - The city of Pinellas Park has an opening on the Code Enforcement Board. The board meets 8 a.m. the third Thursday at Pinellas Park City Hall, 5141 78th Ave. N. It helps administer the city's occupational license, fire, building, zoning and sign codes. Applicants must be Pinellas Park residents. The opening fills the remainder of a three-year term. The application is Feb. 14. Interested applicants may contact the City Clerk's Office at 541- 0706 or pick up an application at City Hall or visit www.pinellas-park.com and click on city departments, city clerk, volunteer board application.
City Council delays action on horse boarding request
PINELLAS PARK - City Council members tabled a request to allow 20 horses at a boarding facility at 8690 60th St. N. The delay is designed for the council to adopt new rules establishing the number of horses per acre. It is unclear when those rules will come before the council.
Groundbreaking set on Park Boulevard project
PINELLAS PARK - Join city, county, and state officials, engineers, contractors and city staff to mark the beginning of the long-awaited project to improve drainage along Park Boulevard. The groundbreaking ceremony will be 10 a.m. Monday near Park Station in the 5800 block of Park. For information, call 541-0721.
