WIDE WORLD OF WEIRD
An elementary school basketball coach in Indiana was charged with battery for allegedly paddling several players for poor shooting after a loss. A school nurse who examined the boys said 11 of the 12 had bruises, welts or swelling on their buttocks a day after the alleged incident. ... A streaker ran with the horses during the recent Triscay Stakes in Australia. He got within 20 yards as they raced toward the finish.

Every year at this time, writers from across the country head to the Super Bowl, and unless the game is in Miami or Los Angeles, many waste newspaper space and air time ripping the host city. Every town has its flaws. It has become cliche for journalists to point them out. It's getting old.
