Ultralight plane tips; pilot okay

PALM HARBOR - A gust of wind pushed the wing of an ultralight plane into the water it was riding on Saturday afternoon, causing the plane to tip over, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said. The 2005 Quicksilver ultralight plane had just begun to taxi about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the waters off Indian Bluff Island, the Sheriff's Office said. The wind caused the wing, which is made of fabric, to tip into the water, weighing it down. The plane's nose dipped into the water. The pilot, Shawn Okun, 43, of Palm Harbor was not injured. He could not be reached Sunday for comment. Boaters nearby came to his aid and helped to tow the plane back to shore, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
