DUAL ENROLLMENT SESSION: Central Florida Community College is offering a mandatory information session for any Crystal River High School student currently in 10th or 11th grade who wishes to enroll in the dual enrollment program for the 2005-06 school year. Students must attend one of the following sessions: 10 a.m. Feb. 10 or 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Both will be held in the Crystal River High cafetorium; parents are encouraged to attend. Please register by signing up in the guidance office.

NO GIRL LEFT BEHIND: Central Florida Community College and the Ocala branch of the American Association of University Women will present a No Girl Left Behind career forum for middle school girls from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Central Florida Community College Ocala Fine Arts Auditorium.

The free event will give preteens an opportunity to learn about career opportunities for women. A panel of professional women will talk about their career fields, education requirements and employment opportunities for women.

Rosey Moreno, TV anchorwoman, will moderate the event. Parents are welcome, but their attendance is not required. For information, call the college information desk at (352) 873-5800.

LENTEN FISH FRY: Pope John Paul II Catholic School's eighth-grade class will host fish fries in the school cafeteria each Friday during Lent from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 11. The cost is $3 for 3-year-olds through eighth-graders and $5 for adults. All are welcome to come with families and friends.

PARENT WORKSHOPS: The PTAs and PTSAs of Citrus County are sponsoring a free event for parents and their families on Feb. 26. Parents countywide are invited to a free 8 a.m. breakfast and workshops that will be conducted during two sessions, one at 9 and one at 10:30 a.m. at Inverness Primary School. Free child care will be provided for children ages 3 and older.

Topics will include "A Healthy Lifestyle for Families," "Stress and Anger Management for Parents," "Internet Safety for Your Family," "The Many Faces of the 21st Century Family" and "Positive Parenting."

Signups are on a first-come, first-served basis and parents may call Lori Willette at 560-0288 or e-mail her at ipspta@yahoo.com by Feb. 11 to register.

Check-in for all participants is 7:45-8:45 a.m. There will be guest speakers after breakfast. Super Parent Saturday will conclude by noon.
