For tbt* 's first Gasparilla party last Saturday, we set up a prime party spot along the waterfront at the Wyndham Harbour Island Hotel pool area, threw in a live band (thanks, Quick Shot Paulo), added food and drinks, and welcomed Capt. Morgan and his lovely assistants handing out various pirate booty. And then just for good measure we gave away a free weekend at the hotel. Cheryl Davis was the lucky winner of the two-night stay at the Wyndham. She and her friends took time to pose with the Captain. From left are Sandy Yavorsky, Amber Szmyt, the Captain, Davis and Miguel Perez. Later in the festivities, as the Jose Gasparilla sailed into view, the party action switched to the main event: bead throwing. Those krewes ain't got nothing on us. Those yellow-and-black tbt* beads were everywhere.
