Homes tour benefits school

Tickets go on sale Feb. 17 for the St. Petersburg Catholic High School sixth annual Tour of Homes.

This year's tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 5, visits eight homes. Among them: the 8,900-square-foot mansion owned by major league baseball player Roberto Hernandez, with its own batting cage and children's playground. Tourgoers also will visit the 1932 home of Pinellas-Pasco pioneer J.B. Starkey and another home known as "the House of Pizza."

Two of the tour homes are in St. Pete Beach, one in Redington Beach, one in the Old Northeast section of St. Petersburg, three at Pasadena Yacht & Country Club in Gulfport and one in Largo.

Tickets, priced at $15, are available at these locations:

Decker Ross Interiors, 936C Cleveland St., Clearwater.

Diamonds Direct, 5085 34th St. S, St. Petersburg.

Gigi's Pizza, 6852 Gulfport Blvd., Gulfport.

Foxy's Cafe, 160 107th Ave., St. Pete Beach.

Artistic Flowers, 3247 Fourth St. N and 3225 49th St. N, both in St. Petersburg.

Jene's Tropicals, 6381 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

Gulf Coast Garden Center, 4355 Haines Road, St. Petersburg.
