WHEN/WHERE: 1; Sun Dome, Tampa. RECORDS: East Carolina 7-13, 3-4 Conference USA; USF 14-8, 4-4.
COACHES: ECU - Sharon Baldwin-Tener (33-43, third season; 102-70 overall), USF - Jose Fernandez (53-80, fifth season).
NOTABLE: It has been a season of two Bulls teams, one 11-1 at home, the other 3-7 away from the Sun Dome. This, too, should be a home game USF can win, and the Bulls likely need four or five wins in their final six games to feel comfortable about making their first NCAA Tournament without needing a strong showing in the conference tournament. The Bulls targeted this weekend as a return for injured center Nalini Miller, out the past month with a strained hamstring, but Fernandez said that's unlikely. Point guard Anedra Gilmore, who missed Sunday's loss at DePaul with an ankle injury, practiced for the first time Friday and is questionable. Forward Ezria Parsons (foot) and guard Chanae Early (bruised chest) are expected to play after being injured Sunday at DePaul. The Pirates are led by 5-foot-9 senior guard Jennifer Jackson (15.9 points a game) and 6-foot senior center Shanita Sutton (11.2 points, 6.1 rebounds).
