Even though the parking lot is empty, the Crystal Springs Roller Rink is open. “Sometimes we’ll have a full house and there won’t be a single car outside,” says the rink’s owner, Truman Rooks. Most parents drop off their kids and pick them up later. Rooks does not allow loitering in the parking lot.
