FCC publishes junk call list

The Federal Communications Commission on Monday published a list of Web sites that the agency says transmits unwanted e-mail and text messages to cell phones. Sites on the list, www.fcc.gov/cgb/policy/
DomainNameDownload.html, have 30 days to stop transmitting unwanted e-mail messages, unless the recipient has given permission to receive the message. The list is the result of antispam legislation President Bush signed in 2003.
ATA TO SELL CARRIER: ATA Airlines Inc. said Monday it plans to sell its regional carrier Chicago Express as part of its bankruptcy reorganization. Chicago Express, which operates as ATA Connection, connects smaller Midwest cities with Chicago's Midway International Airport or Indianapolis.
ASK JEEVES BUYS BLOGLINES: Online search engine Ask Jeeves Inc. has bought Bloglines, a top Web log index and Internet news funnel. A formal announcement is expected today. Ask Jeeves officials said the sales price won't be disclosed.
WAL-MART TO OFFER SAME-DAY FLOWER DELIVERY: Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, is offering same-day flower delivery through its Internet site in partnership with florist network FTD Group Inc. Orders for flower placed by 12:30 p.m. in the recipient's time zone Monday through Friday and 10:30 a.m. on weekends will be delivered the same day through FTD.
