Driver who caused bus crash is cited

By Times Staff Writer

BROOKSVILLE - A 57-year-old man was issued a traffic citation Friday morning after he cut off a school bus in Brooksville, causing a minor accident, police said.

James Olson was traveling north on Broad Street near Bailey Avenue when he abruptly changed lanes in front of a Hernando County school bus, said Brooksville police Chief Ed Tincher. Two students aboard the school bus at the time of the wreck were not injured, Tincher said. Olson received a ticket for making a left turn from the wrong lane, a moving violation.
