Men: UCF falls to JU in OT

JACKSONVILLE - Jesse Kimbrough scored 18, including a free throw with 3.5 seconds left in overtime, to lift Jacksonville to an 83-82 victory over Central Florida in an Atlantic Sun game on Saturday.
Jacksonville could have put the game out of reach in overtime, but the Dolphins missed seven of 11 free throws, including one by Kimbrough in the final seconds.
A 35-foot shot at the buzzer by UCF's Joshua Peppers hit the side of the rim and bounced away.
Jacksonville held a 69-60 lead with about four minutes remaining in the second half, but UCF responded with a 10-1 run to tie it at 70.
SAINT LEO 83, FLORIDA TECH 68: The host Lions had five players in double figures in their fourth straight Sunshine State Conference win. St. Leo tied a school record for most conference wins (eight) in a season set by the 1983-84 team that finished 8-6. Forward George Eshesimua led St. Leo with 16 points. Guard Marquis McCullough had 15 points, seven assists and two steals, center Jackie Lamons had 14 points and nine rebounds, and guard J.J. Turner had 14 points. Guard Scott Seifert had 10 points.
FAU 81, STETSON 75: Rodney Webb scored a career-high 25 to lead the visiting Owls. The Owls grabbed the lead early in the second half and never trailed after that. E.J. Gordon led Stetson with 30 points and 15 rebounds, and Anthony Register had 22 points.
FAMU 70, MD.-EASTERN SHORE 57: James Pattman scored 15 to lead the visiting Rattlers. Darius Glover and Tony Tate added 10 each for Florida A&M. The Rattlers never lost the lead in the second half, often leading by as much as 19.
ECKERD 75, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN 59: Steve Berg scored 21 to lead the visiting Tritons. Berg has scored 20 or more in seven games this season.

IOWA 64, NORTHWESTERN 54: Adam Haluska scored 20 and Greg Brunner added 16 for the host Hawkeyes, who stopped a two-game skid.
INDIANA 71, MINNESOTA 56: A.J. Ratliff and Pat Ewing Jr. each scored 15 and Robert Vaden added 14 as the host Hoosiers overcame the absence of leading scorer Bracey Wright, who has an injured ankle.
STANFORD 71, CAL 56: Matt Haryasz scored 12 of his 18 in the second half to lead the Cardinal. Dan Grunfeld added 16 points for Stanford despite missing most of the second half with a knee injury. Stanford beat Cal at home for the 12th straight time.
UNLV 93, SAN DIEGO ST. 91 (OT): Odartey Blankson scored 23 and Michael Umeh had 22 for the visiting Runnin' Rebels, who made up a 10-point deficit with 30 seconds left in regulation.
YALE 54, HARVARD 53: Freshman Eric Flato came off the bench to score 13 and blocked David Giovacchini's shot at the buzzer to lead the Bulldogs.
GEORGETOWN 67, W. VIRGINIA 60: Jeff Green scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds and Brandon Bowman added 15 points to lead the host Hoyas over the Mountaineers. The Hoyas beat West Virginia for the seventh time in nine games.
ST. JOE'S 69, TEMPLE 57: Pat Carroll scored 27 points to lead the Hawks at the Palestra in Philadelphia. Carroll hit six 3-pointers and became the school's all-time leading 3-point shooter with 233.
