TREASURE CHEST
It started as a joke. Nothing more.
When model Shaune Bagwell saw that a man was using his forehead as a billboard, she decided to take things a step further. Two weeks ago, Bagwell, the ex-wife of Astros first baseman Jeff Bagwell, put her cleavage for sale on eBay.
"I thought it up on a fluke talking to my friends," Bagwell told the Times. "We all laughed about it. It was so stupid, so silly, I thought there was no way anybody was going to do it."
Think again.
The auction brought her national publicity, and a buyer. Internet casino GoldenPalace.com paid $15,099 for the cleavage ad space. The arrangement calls for Bagwell, who lives in Houston and Los Angeles and has appeared in FHM, Playboy, InStyle and Razor, to show her tattooed chest by wearing strapless dresses, low-cut tops and bikinis. She plans to attend Houston Rockets games and tour Houston having lunches and dinners at high-profile restaurants.
"I'm surprised, to say the least," Bagwell said. "My cleavage is (theirs) for the next 30 days."
On the company's Web site, it reads:
At just over $15,000, GoldenPalace.com feels that the investment in this living billboard is well worthwhile - the bikini model has room for a lot of logo.
WIDE WORLD OF WEIRD
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman so strongly supports People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that in a provocative new ad he appears nude and asks people to "Be comfortable in your own skin and let animals keep theirs." ... Argentine rugby player Santiago Gomez Cora was suspended 10 days for biting New Zealand's Tamati Ellison in a recent match. ... Two female Patriots fans claim they were beaten senseless by five female students at a Super Bowl party at Pennsylvania State University's Altoona campus. ... And finally this: A Welsh rugby fan cut off his testicles to celebrate Wales beating England. Police say the man had a history of mental problems. Gee, ya think?
