Cosby won't face chargers

PHILADELPHIA - Bill Cosby will not face charges stemming from a woman's allegation that he fondled her at his suburban mansion after giving her medication that made her woozy, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Authorities found insufficient "credible, and admissible evidence ... upon which any charge against Mr. Cosby could be sustained beyond a reasonable doubt," Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. said in a statement.

Cosby, 67, has denied the allegations.

An "Idol' connection for Tampa mayor?

Will the real "Auntie Mayor" please stand up?

In the hoopla over 19-year-old Tampa singer Jessica Sierra's advancement into the finals of Fox's American Idol on Wednesday, Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio got hauled into the party.

Fox sent out a news release Thursday morning introducing the finalists. Among them:

"Jessica Sierra began her singing career at 3 years of age by emulating her grandmother. ... Jessica was born and raised in Tampa, FL, and has been working as a live-in nanny for the past year. Her aunt is currently the mayor of Tampa."

But Iorio does not have nieces, according to her office.

A Fox spokeswoman said that's what Sierra told publicists, but said she couldn't reach Sierra for a clarification. (Idol contestants are not permitted to talk to reporters until they are eliminated.)
