Men: Irish stave off Friars comeback

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Chris Quinn scored 17, including five 3-pointers, as Notre Dame held off Providence 62-61 on Saturday.
Notre Dame held off a late run as Providence narrowed a seven-point deficit to one in the final two minutes, then forced a turnover with four seconds left. But Ryan Gomes missed a possible winner at the buzzer.
Providence was led by Gomes, who scored 16 on 5-of-18 shooting.
MINNESOTA 52, OHIO STATE 50: Vincent Grier had 14 points and 10 rebounds and J'son Stamper had two big plays down the stretch for the host Golden Gophers. Stamper tipped in a loose ball with 34.9 seconds left for a 51-50 lead, then chased down rebounds on Ohio State's final two possessions.
NORTHWESTERN 54, PENN ST. 39: The host Wildcats opened the second half on a 21-4 to extend their lead to 46-22 lead in avenging Penn State's lone Big Ten win.
ARIZONA ST. 66, OREGON 56: Steve Moore scored 17 in the second half for the host Sun Devils, who rallied from a 13-point deficit in the final 18:40.
USC 89, CALIFORNIA 70: Freshman Gabe Pruitt hit five 3-pointers in the first half as the Trojans earned their second road victory.
TEXAS A&M 92, COLORADO 77: Antoine Wright matched a career high with 32 points for the Aggies, who won their first Big 12 road game this season.
TEXAS 75, BAYLOR 60: Brad Buckman scored 19 and had nine rebounds for the host Longhorns, who earned their 15th straight win in the series since Rick Barnes became coach.
MISSOURI 56, NEBRASKA 53: Linas Kleiza hit two free throws with 35 seconds left for the visiting Tigers, who trailed by nine in the first half.

B-CC 73, MORGAN STATE 71: Antonio Webb's 3-pointer at the buzzer won it for host Bethune-Cookman. Sam Brand hit a 3-pointer with 7.7 seconds to cap an 8-0 run and put Morgan State ahead 73-71.
UCF 70, GEORGIA ST. 65: Josh Peppers scored 22 for host Central Florida, which put the game away with a 7-0 run after leading 62-60 with 1:07 left.
FLORIDA A&M 62, COPPIN ST. 58: Jonathan Kelly scored 17 including a dunk that gave Florida A&M the lead for good at 56-54 with 1:39 left. FLA. SOUTHERN 60, ECKERD 43: The visiting Tritons shot a season-low 20.5 percent (9-for-44) and FSC pulled away in the second half. Greg Plummer scored 16 for Eckerd.
NOVA SE 67, TAMPA 52: The visiting Spartans faltered in the second half after trailing by four at halftime; UT scored 10 points in the first 18 minutes of the half. Mark Borders led the Spartans with 16 points.
LYNN 82, SAINT LEO 61: Austin Faber had 11 assists for host Lynn to break the school career record. He has 424; Arteus Sullivan held the mark at 415. Richard Blue led Saint Leo with 15 points.
