St. Petersburg native Wil Myer was 9 years old when he moved to Los Angeles with his family to chase dreams of Hollywood. He pops up in the CBS drama Without a Trace on Thursday at 10 p.m. on WTSP-Ch. 10.
Wil, now 11, plays the son of a kidnapper.
His father, Bill Pfizenmaier, said Wil most recently appeared in a Lay's potato chip Super Bowl ad, starring with rapper MC Hammer in a spot directed by Spike Lee. He's due to appear soon as the lead in a Dr. Scholl's commercial.
Wil, who shortened his name from Pfizenmaier, was a student at St. Paul Catholic School in 2002 before he went west. His father reported Tuesday that Wil is auditioning during the busy television pilot season and earned entrance into a performing arts academy in the Los Angeles area.
Wil's goal is a recurring lead role in a television series, Pfizenmaier said.
