UF cardiologist named director at USF

A University of Florida cardiologist has been named director of the cardiology division at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Anne B. Curtis also will be USF's CEO of Heart Services and a professor of medicine.

Curtis, who specializes in treating heart rhythm disorders, is president-elect of the Heart Rhythm Society, a national science, education and advocacy group. She is director of clinical electrophysiology at UF.

Curtis is one of the first management hires made by USF's new medical school dean, Dr. Stephen Klasko.
