CLEARWATER - The annual free Community Associations Day and Trade Show is from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland St.

The day includes a trade show from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with more than 120 booths offering products and services for residents and managers of condos, co-ops and homeowner associations.

There also are programs and panel discussions. Among them are question-and-answer panels with lawyers for condominiums and homeowner associations from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

From 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the topic is "Disaster Recovery After the Storm." Two lawyers will talk about hurricane recovery, and television storm-chaser Don Germaise will deliver the keynote address about his experiences covering last summer's four hurricanes.

From 1 to 2 p.m. a panel will present "A Day in the Life of an Association Manager." Other topics include enforcement options, reconstruction of aging infrastructures, association technology, landscaping and lake management, funding options and a legal update for managers. The day ends with a wine and cheese reception from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

CAI is a nonprofit organization that provides education, information and training to residents, managers and service providers of condos, co-ops and homeowner associations. For information, call the Suncoast chapter of CAI at (727) 345-0165.
