GREEK FESTIVAL: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 409 S Old Coachman Road, Clearwater, will have its annual Great Greek Festival today through Sunday. Today and Saturday, hours are 11 a.m. to midnight, Sunday noon to 9 p.m. The event will feature Greek food, dancing, church tours, cooking demonstrations, a children's area, silent auction and live music. Visitors can also enter a drawing to win a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C320 or other prizes.
LOCAL ART: The Imago Art Group @ Trailside will feature original works of local artists today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Joan Holland and Ed White will present their abstract expressionistic artwork. Parking and admission are free. The event will be at 464 Douglas Ave., Dunedin. Call 733-5607.
BENEFIT SALE: A rummage sale benefitting the Golda Meir/Kent Jewish Center and Preschool will be today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2010 Greenbriar Blvd. between Belcher and Sunset Point. A bake sale will be held. Items for sale include baby items, electronics, books, clothes, household items, toys, exercise equipment, furniture, artwork, jewelry and collectibles. EXHIBIT RECEPTION: The Dunedin Historical Society will host a reception tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. for the exhibit "Sailing Thru Dunedin" at the society's museum, 349 Main St. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. RSVP for the reception at 736-1176.
GEM AND MINERAL SHOW, SALE: A gem and mineral show and sale will be today through Sunday at 6340 126th Ave. N, Largo. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be demonstrations of bead-stringing, wirecraft, channelwork and gem-cutting. Admission is $5 for adults for three days, and children younger than 6 are free. Students with parents or an ID card are $4. Parking is free.
TABLE EVENT: Bay Bouquet Garden Club will present "Table for all Seasons and Reasons," Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be at the Dunedin Library, 223 Douglas Ave., Dunedin. The club will show an exhibit of beautiful, unusual and creative tables, flowers and accessories that depict holidays, special events, birthdays and anniversaries. Call 787-3927.
ANTIQUES AND APPRAISAL FAIR: Dunedin will host a spring antiques and appraisal fair Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair will have more than 70 dealers from throughout the state. Main Street will be closed east of Alt. U.S. 19 for the dealers to display their products. Come with your stuff and find out the real history and value behind it. Admission is free. Call 298-3161.
LARGO TREE FESTIVAL: The Largo Recreation, Parks and Arts Department's Largo Tree Festival Saturday is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The department plans to celebrate the environment through live entertainment, recycled crafts, games, recycling demonstrations and a tree giveaway. The event will be at the Largo Central Park Nature Preserve, 150 Highland Ave., behind Winn-Dixie. Call 518-3047.
COMEDY TROUPE: Wild Rice improvisational comedy will be at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave., on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12; $10 for center members or students. Call 942-5605. The troupe solicits ideas, genres, emotions, etc. from the audience, and then crafts scenes with solid comedic punch from the weakest of suggestions. The troupe performs on a regular basis in several clubs in the Tampa Bay area.
MIME PERFORMANCE: The St. Petersburg Times Family Theater Series at Ruth Eckerd Hall brings mime Mark Jaster to the Murray Studio Theater for six performances, Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m., of his one-man show, "The Fool Named "O." Jaster portrays a medieval jester who entertains his modern-day audiences with foolish acrobatics, baffling illusions, unusual music and other outrageous antics. Developed and featured at The Maryland Renaissance Festival since 1986, "O" uses simple props and skillful movement to beguile, involve and amuse his spectators. CONCERT: The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin directed by Misha Rechlevshy will perform at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Sunday at 3 p.m. General admission is $19 and $17 for center members or students. CONCERT: The Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Society presents John Lamb directing the All-Stars, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Cinema Cafe, U.S. 19 and Sunset Point Road, Clearwater. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for guests. Bobby Tess and the Dixie Chaps, 6:30 to 9 p.m.
