World Series trophy on display at museum

By Times Staff Writer
Published March 6, 2005

CITRUS HILLS - It took the Boston Red Sox 86 years to end the curse, but the team's local fans won't have to wait any longer to see the World Series trophy.

It will be on display at the Ted Williams Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today, said Dave McCarthy, the museum's executive director.

Admission: $1 for children, $5 for adults. Fans can bring their cameras. "To have any World Series trophy come is big, but to have the one with such history with the curse of Bambino is historic," McCarthy said. "It's something every fan of baseball in Citrus County should come see."
