Service club new at Cannella Elementary

Cannella Elementary School launched its first-ever Beta Club last month. Beta, under the leadership of the National Beta Club, is a service club for honor roll students that seeks to develops character and leadership skills. Forty Cannella students were inducted at the Feb. 16 ceremony under the sponsorship of guidance counselor Sharon Caltagirone. They include officers Jillian Briceno, president; Erin Jennings, vice president; Katye Waddle, secretary; Sarah Klein, treasurer; and Jasmine Souvenir, parliamentarian.
