Miami takes title in triple OTAssociated Press

LAKELAND - Shantavia Hampton made two free throws to tie the score in triple overtime and Olga Soza nailed the winning shot to give Miami a 59-57 win over Deerfield Beach in the title game Saturday.
The score was tied 40-all at the end of regulation, then 46-46 at the end of the first overtime. Tiara Jones hit a basket for Deerfield and Alexandra Sanabria landed one for Miami to tie it at 48.
In the third overtime, Miami trailed 55-57 with 15 seconds left when Chytearra Kintchen fouled and Hampton hit two free throws. Then Soza made the winning shot in the final second of the game.
Hampton led Miami with 27 points, followed by Tiara Jones with nine and Sanabria with eight. Princess Stewart and Virginia Gregoire each added 15 for Deerfield Beach, while Kintchen had 14.4A: Winter Haven rolls
Tiffany Hayes scored 14 and LaQwesha Gamble added 12 as Winter Haven trounced Eastside 56-23.
Winter Haven (28-1) led the entire game, was up 32-10 at halftime and had the widest margin in the third quarter at 49-10.
Katrice Mulberry scored seven for Gainesville Eastside (31-1) in the fourth quarter, but could not overcome the deficit.
Mulberry led Eastside with 11 points, the only player to score in double figures. Latoya Williams had six rebounds.
Eastside made only 7 percent of its 3-point attempts compared to Winter Haven's 40 percent. Brittany Denson added 11 points for Winter Haven.2A: Father Lopez Catholic dominates Miami Dade
Jessica Pressley scored 20 to lead Father Lopez Catholic to a 59-47 win over Dade Christian in the title game.
The game briefly was tied at 2-all, then Katelyn Landorf made a field goal and Father Lopez (28-4) never relinquished the lead.
The Daytona Beach school outshot Dade Christian (18-9), hitting about 38 percent of field goals and 31 percent of 3-pointers. Miami Dade made about 30 percent of field goals and 18 percent of 3s.
Jennifer Russi scored 10 for Father Lopez, followed by Katy Piechocki with eight and Jessica Barker added seven.
Lavessa Glover led Dade Christian with 33 points.
