Xpressions, our monthly showcase for the art, writing and photography of students through the 12th grade, is looking for your work! Xpressions appears the last Monday of each month inside Floridian.
Please read the following instructions before submitting your work, which must be based on the designated themes.
MARCH: PURPLE THEME - This month, we want you to write about the color purple. Art and photography should also depict that regal color. Deadline: Postmark Saturday. APRIL: SHADOWS - A shadow in your mind. A shadow hanging over you. A shadow dancing on your bedroom wall. Take time to observe the shadows in your world and send your creative impressions in the form of art, photos, prose or poetry. Deadline: Postmark April 6.
MAY: OPEN THEME - Send in your creative works on the topic of your choice. Deadline: Postmark May 6.
Artwork must be on white, unlined paper. Your work will not be considered for publication without ALL of the following information: name, age, name of school and grade, your address, ZIP code and phone number with area code. TEACHERS: Please include your phone number with area code and e-mail address.
IMPORTANT: Stories must be no longer than 150 words. We will return only artwork and only if you indicate that you want it back.
