ERIN GO BRAGH AND BACH: A free candlelight concert celebrating J.S. Bach's birthday and St. Patrick's Day happens tonight at 7:30 at the Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave., in downtown Clearwater. Performers include the Clearwater Choral Scholars singing Kyrie and Gloria from Bach's Lutheran Mass in G, Pipe Organ Masterworks on the Two Letourneau Pipe Organs played by members of the Clearwater chapter of the American Guild of Organists, Irish Tenor solo favorites, and guest Irish-Celtic Band, Meireaca. BREAKFAST WITH PETER COTTONTAIL: Parents and 2- to 7-year-olds are invited to breakfast with Peter Cottontail at the Southwest Recreation Complex today and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with special crafts and food projects. Cost is $7 per child and $3 per adult. Call 518-3125.

A DAY IN THE PARK: A Day in the Park, celebrating the North Beaches Branch YMCA and 100 years of Rotary, will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Chic-a-si Park, Fourth Avenue at First Street, Indian Rocks Beach. The Historical Museum will be open for free tours. There will be entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations by local artists and a dedication of the park pavilion at 2 p.m. contributed by the Indian Rocks Rotary Club. A concert hosted by the North Beaches Branch YMCA will start at 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by Century 21 Plumlee Realty and the city of Indian Rocks Beach.

ALL-DAY SHOW: A one day plein-air show for area artists hosted by the Dunedin Fine Art Center will be Saturday. Called "Concorso Rapido," or "fast show," historically, this creative competition brings together a village's finest artists for a single day of painting or drawing the town's best sights. The event will be at Paper Players, 434 Virginia Lane, Dunedin. Bring your blank canvas or paper to be stamped as an official entry. This will become the drawing, painting, pastel or watercolor to be turned in at day's end for judging. Celebration and awards at 5 p.m. Register in advance or the day of the event. PERCUSSION TROUPE: Moccasin Lake Nature Park, 2750 Park Trail Lane, presents Sun Drummers & Dancers Percussion Troupe, for all ages, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the fire circle miniamphitheater. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 3 to 12, $1 for 2 and younger. During intermission, enjoy beverages and toast marshmallows around the campfire, all the fixings provided. Participants are invited to bring a drum or percussion instrument to play along with the troupe during the second half of the performance. Concert will be held indoors in inclement weather. BENEFIT AUCTION: Clearwater Marine Aquarium's annual benefit auction, Art For the Animals, will be Saturday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the aquarium, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater. The event will be highlighted by uniquely decorated sculptures of CMA's rescued dolphin, Nicholas. Designed by area artist, Kumpa Tawornprom, the sculpture of Nicholas includes scars resulting from his stranding. Now a healthy 2-year-old, this young Atlantic bottlenose dolphin is a permanent resident of CMA and can be seen daily in the main dolphin pool. More than 20 artists have donated their decorated dolphin sculptures to the auction. The artists showcase a wide variety of styles and motifs. Tickets are available at the aquarium or by calling 441-1790, ext. 237.

ART SHOW: The annual art Show and Reception for the Sand Key Watercolor Artists Group will be Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. on the second floor of the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, 1001 Gulf Blvd., at the north end of Sand Key. The show features the works of local artists and represents a range of styles and techniques in a variety of mediums with emphasis on watercolors. The show and reception is free and open to the public.

ANTIQUE SHOW: Antique Alley's Annual Antique Show, Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rain date March 20). There will be 50 dealers and admission is free. Antique Alley is at 580-596 Indian Rocks Road, Belleair Bluffs. Call 581-6585.

JAZZ CONCERT: Palm Harbor Harbor Library and Friends will host the Clam Bayou Jazz Band led by Frank Greenstreet in a "Swing into Spring" concert Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Community Room of the Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave. Admission is free. Call 784-3332.

FAMILY PICNIC: The fifth annual Liado Italian American Family Picnic will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at Philippe Park, 2355 Bayshore Drive N, Safety Harbor, on Sunday. Admission is $15 per adult and $7 per child. Italian meals, dessert and refreshments will be served. There will be Italian music presented by the Rungo Academy, bocce and card games. JAZZ: Jazz Among the Stacks will be Sunday at 3 p.m., Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave. Clam Bayou Jazz Band, led by Frank Greenstreet, presents the Swing Into Spring concert, sponsored by the Palm Harbor Library, Friends of the Library, Palm Harbor Civic Club and the Recording Industries Music Performance Fund. EARLY PALM SUNDAY MUSIC: The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet plays with the pipe organ and choirs Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave., in downtown Clearwater.
