Ginger C. Turner has been named a manager in the tax department at Pender Newkirk and Co. CPAs, Tampa. Turner was a tax manager for Cherry, Bekaert & Holland LLP, St. Petersburg.

Christopher K. Davis has been named senior account executive at the Mallard Group, Clearwater. Davis was a legislative assistant to state Rep. Frank Farkas, both in St. Petersburg and Tallahassee.

GunnAllen Financial, Tampa, announces that it has acquired an equity interest in HarborLight Capital Management LLC, Palm Harbor, and that HarborLight president and chief executive Dean G. Tanella has been named executive vice president of capital markets and a member of GunnAllen's board of directors.

Kenneth "K.C." Clark has been named chairman of the University of West Florida's board of trustees. Clark is executive vice president and chief operating officer at Heritage Asset Management, St. Petersburg.

Beverly Pringle has been named business development officer of Business Loan Express' new Dunedin office. Pringle was business development officer for the Business Development Corps of Northeast Florida, Jacksonville.

Greg Kern has been named director of public sector services at AVID Engineering Inc., Palm Harbor. Kern was senior associate for Dyer, Riddle, Mills & Precourt Inc., Orlando.

Ronald W. Gregory II has been named at shareholder at the law firm of Englander & Fischer PA, St. Petersburg. Gregory was an associate, practices in general commercial litigation and advises businesses in transactions and alternative dispute resolution.

Alexandra M. MacLennan has been named a partner at the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, Tampa. MacLennan was an associate and is a member of the firm's public finance group.

Robert E. Lewis has been named vice president and general counsel for Gerdau Ameristeel Corp., Tampa. Lewis was senior vice president/general counsel and secretary for Eckerd Corp., Clearwater.

Superior Uniform Group Inc., Seminole, announces these promotions: David Schechter, vice president of sales administration; and Gary Jellum, vice president of human resources. Schechter was director of sales and marketing processes; and Jellum was director of human resources.

Cindy Partazana has been named a financial services specialist for AAA Auto Club South, Tampa. Partazana was a legal assistant for J.P. Morgan Chase, Tampa.

William A. Folino has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Rx Processing Corp., Tampa. Folino was director of sales and marketing.

Andrew "Andy" Carbaugh has been named operations manager at Prudential Tropical Realty, Tampa. Carbaugh was manager of capacity planning and business analysis for Charles Schwab in Orlando.

Joe Mohan has been named senior vice president of sales at American Land Lease Inc., Clearwater. Mohan was regional sales director for the Northeast and Canada for Continental Airlines in New York.

Terri Nickerson has been named marketing director of Westfield Shoppingtown, Countryside. Nickerson was owner and operator of Integrated Marketing Solutions, Tampa.

Jim Martell has been named to the board of directors of Segmentz Inc., Tampa. Martell is former chief executive officer of SmartMail Services, which was headquartered in Atlanta and was sold to DHL Global in 2004.
