Armed man holds up Zephyrhills liquor store

ZEPHYRHILLS - A man held two people at gunpoint in a liquor store Saturday before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the man entered the Kash n' Karry liquor store at 38901 State Road 54 about 2:20 p.m.
The store clerk, who was not identified, told investigators a man walked in dressed in black with a scarf covering his face. He pulled out a short-barrelled shotgun and told her to open the cash register and give him the money. The clerk did, but she also pressed a button to alert authorities as she put the cash drawer on the counter. The armed man saw her do it and threatened to shoot her.
Soon after, a customer walked in the store. The robber made both people lie down on the floor, then left.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 18 years old, with hazel eyes, a light complexion and slender build. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at (800) 854-2862 ext. 5010.
Sheriff's Office seeks cycling purse-snatcher
PORT RICHEY - The Sheriff's Office is searching for a young man who rode his bicycle up to an elderly woman walking to the store Sunday morning and snatched her purse.
The robbery occurred about 11:15 a.m. near the intersection of Embassy Boulevard and Crabtree Lane. The woman, 85, was not injured. Two witnesses saw the robbery, the Sheriff's Office said. The suspect is described as a white man in his late teens with short, curly blond hair.
