Butterfly fanciers will find dozens of varieties at the Butterfly Festival this weekend at St. Petersburg's Sunken Gardens. This is a pipevine swallowtail.

Besides the walk-through enclosure with hundreds of butterflies, the gardens will have programs on gardening to attract the insects and plants for sale to stock those gardens. There will be other nature shows, too.

Hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday and noon-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the gardens, 1825 Fourth St. N. Admission is $8 adults, $6 seniors and $4 ages 2-11. (727) 551-3100.
