FAIR: The Citrus County Fair will be Monday through Saturday at the county fairgrounds and auditorium on U.S. 41 S, Inverness. Highlights include Dollar Night Monday; Senior Citizens Day Tuesday; Midnight Magic Thursday; School Day Friday and Daytime Magic Saturday. Each day features a discount on admissions. The Citrus Times publishes a fair guide that is included in today's newspaper, and it has full details about everything going on at the fair.
AIR IT OUT: The Citrus County Art League main gallery exhibit for March features an exhibit of plein air paintings and landscapes. The exhibit is open to the public daily, during regular hours. FLORIDA ART: The display of Highwaymen art continues at the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum, 1 Courthouse Square, Inverness. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Call 341-6436.
QUILT SHOW: The Creative Quilters of Citrus County will display a Charity Quilt in observance of National Quilt Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Crystal River Mall. The quilters will also have a quilt show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25 and 26 at Crystal River Middle School.
BEVERLY HILLS CHORUS: The Chorus of Beverly Hills rehearses for its spring concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the sanctuary of the Beverly Hills Community Church, 82 Civic Circle. Singers for all four voice parts are encouraged to join. Director is Lorraine Wilmoth, and accompanist is Renate Williams. The 30-member chorus welcomes all county residents who are eager to sing and commit to attending rehearsals regularly. A program with the theme "We Are One Family" is planned for 3 p.m. April 24. . STRIKE UP THE BAND: The Citrus Community Band rehearses at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Lecanto Middle School band room under the direction of Don Rowe and Nancy Gordon. Both directors are veteran music educators. Rowe directed high school bands in New Jersey and Gordon taught both vocal and instrumental music. Marches, movie themes, classical and jazz will be performed. The band performs throughout the county for community events. To book the band or join as a musician, call John Durbin at 795-1863.

FIDDLING AROUND: The Florida Old Time Music Championship will be April 1 and 2 at the Sertoma Youth Ranch near Dade City. This year's musical guests will be Pete and Ellen Vigour. FLY-IN: The Tri-County Radio Control Club hosts its annual Big Bird Fly-In on April 23 at the Rainbow R/C Park in Dunnellon. Take County Road 484 east to Bridge Road and follow the signs. Parking is $2. Admission is free.
RELAY FOR LIFE: The Inverness Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, will be April 15 and 16 at Citrus High School. Planning meetings take place Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Gulf Room in the Annex Building at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. For information call chairwoman Mary Pericht at 726-3816.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER: The Hernando Exotic Bird Club will have its annual Exotic Bird Mart from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St. in Brooksville. Admission is $2. Children 12 and younger admitted free. Call 796-4552 for information.
FUN, FUN, FUN: The Beach Boys will perform in a concert that begins at noon Saturday at Silver Springs nature theme park, east of Ocala in Marion County. The outdoor concert is included in the price of admission and guests who bring in any Coca-Cola product receive at $11 discount off the regular adult daily admission of $32.99. The music begins at noon with Dunning Shaw. Bring folding chairs or rent them from the park. The park is at 5655 E Silver Springs Blvd., about a mile east of Ocala.
