INVERNESS - Lawyers on Monday selected a jury in the case of a Homosassa man who is charged with driving under the influence-manslaughter. The trial is scheduled to begin today. Prosecutors say Richard Lee Curry of 6163 W Grant St., Homosassa, struck a pedestrian on May 9. Yolanda D. Bunch, 37, of 89 S Lucille St. in Beverly Hills was walking along Forest Ridge Boulevard about 500 feet north of County Road 486 just before 1 a.m., court records showed. Curry left the scene but was later found with his vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The report indicated the accident was alcohol-related. The trial is expected to last about three days.
