VENTURA, Calif. - Former Growing Pains actor Tracey Gold was placed on three years' probation after she pleaded guilty to a second felony drunken driving charge in a rollover crash that injured her husband and two of their three children.
Tracey Gold Marshall, 35, was placed on three years' probation, must complete 30 days of supervised work release and 240 hours of community service.
Marshall, who starred on Growing Pains from 1985 to 1992, was behind the wheel of a sport utility vehicle on Sept. 3, 2004, when it went off a highway in Moorpark and rolled down an embankment.
Marshall and her 4-month-old son weren't hurt, but her husband, Roby Marshall, and the couple's 5- and 7-year-old sons were injured.
Struggling Miss America pageant considers spinoff for teens
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Miss America Organization, which still doesn't have a network lined up to air this year's pageant, is nonetheless going forward with plans to stage a spinoff pageant - this one for teenage girls.
Miss America's Outstanding Teen, a pageant for girls 13 to 17 years old, will be held this year in Orlando, pitting state winners against one another in talent and evening wear, the Associated Press reported.
Miss America Organization officials, who have scheduled an announcement for Wednesday in Orlando, would not release details about the contest Monday. But the chairman of the board of Miss America's Outstanding Teen, Donna Bozarth, said the contest will be a smaller version of the main pageant.
About $150,000 in scholarships will be divided among the contestants.
