The Vancouver '05 Marathoners in Training will present Rockin' 4 a Cure from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd. S.
The event will feature '70s and '80s music by Delusions of Grandeur and Open Window as well as door prizes and a cash raffle.

Indian Rocks Beach
The Beauty and the Beach Festival will be held from 8 a.m. to sunset April 2. It's sponsored by the city, the Beach Art Center and North Beaches Branch YMCA.
Events on the beach at the 18th Avenue beach access will include the Guppy's Gulfside Gallop at 8 a.m., Beach Volleyball Tournament at noon, Miss Beauty and the Beach Contest at 1:30 p.m. and music by the Island Boy Band and Sunny Jim. A fine arts and crafts festival will be held in Kolb Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees can also check out the Library Book Sale, Bake Sale, Rotary Pancake Breakfast, Gallery Art Show, Children's Chalk Walk and YMCA children's activities on the ball field.
The entry fee for artists at the arts and crafts show is $80. There will be cash awards. Applications are available at the Beach Art Center, 1515 Bay Palm Blvd. For more information on the festival, call 595-2517 or 596-4331.

Pinellas County has completed the Reclaimed Water Transmission Main on Gulf Boulevard between Ninth and 10th avenues, according to Public Services supervisor Randy Schwab. The completion of this section connects the main from State Road 688 to 28th Avenue.

North Redington Beach
Curtis Blocker has been appointed to fill the unexpired term of Commission Seat 4, vacated by William Queen when he was elected mayor. Blocker served as chairman of the Planning & Zoning Board and was a key member of the comprehensive plan working group. He retired from a career in insurance and personnel management. Steve Suzanski was named to succeed Blocker on the Planning & Zoning Board.
Redington Shores
Town Wide Spring Garage Sale will be held April 1 and 2.
The annual Spring Cleanup will be held April 9. Residents should place articles that are intended for pickup at the curb the evening of April 8. Anything that two men can lift will be picked up, with the exception of 55-gallon drums, tires, car batteries and hazardous materials. In addition, two roll-off containers will be placed at the old Town Hall vacant lot on 177th Terrace W and at the vacant lot at the southeast corner of Long Point Drive and First Street E on April 8 and 9. The eighth annual Beach Stroll, presented by the Pass-a-Grille Woman's Club, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. April 3, rain or shine. The tour will feature five Pass-a-Grille homes.

Treasure Island
The Treasure Island Open Air Market is held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday on 107th Avenue N, just east of Gulf Boulevard at Pirates Square. The market is sponsored by the Treasure Island Business Association and features live entertainment, fresh produce, baked goods, prepared foods, collectibles, and arts and crafts of all types. The third annual "Spring the Kings" kingfish tournament, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Seminole, will be held Saturday at Gators on the Pass.
A mandatory captains meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Gators on the Pass Liar's Tent. Entry fees are $200. The event will be a 100 percent payout of cash and prizes to the anglers, with the number of entries determining the number of places paid.
Proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club of Seminole Charitable Fund. This year, the club donated $30,000 to improve the Seminole Recreation Center park, and helped children affected by the summer hurricanes. For more information, call Capt.
