DUNEDIN - Both semifinal games and the third-place games in the Dunedin Spring Classic were postponed Wednesday because of inclement weather.
Tournament officials pushed all of the day's action to today, keeping Wednesday's game times and field locations.
Dunedin (8-2) will play Miami Springs (10-3) at Englebert in the 5 p.m. semifinal.
Miami boasts two sophomores who can hit 90 mph. In return, the Falcons have an ace on the mound in Kyle Mills, who threw a no-hitter against Pasco on Tuesday. The teams have combined for 30 hits in a tournament that otherwise has featured pitching duels..
Northeast (7-3) faces Clearwater (7-1) at 8 p.m. in the other semifinal. at Englebert. Northeast likely will rely on outstanding freshman pitcher Jacob Wilder against the Tornadoes, who boast a balanced pitching staff and aggressive offense.
Clearwater Central Catholic (3-6) and Northside Christian (6-5) will square off in a 4 p.m. game at Englebert.
The Marauders and Mustangs have had similar struggles this season, but should match up well on the field.
Along with the CCC-Northside game, the other loser's bracket games postponed Wednesday will be played at Englebert throughout the day.DUNEDIN SPRING CLASSIC
