Teacher charged with child abuse

TAMPA - A Hillsborough County schoolteacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with child abuse, a third-degree felony, according to jail records.

Luis Miguel Diaz, 29, of 5465 Fulmar Drive, Tampa, was at the Orient Road jail in lieu of $2,000 bail, jail records said. The jail record shows that Diaz was arrested at a Hillsborough School District office in Ybor City.
