"RED HOT AND COLE' opens today and continues through May 15 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays and 1:30 p.m. some Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Doors open two hours before each show for buffet and full cash bar. "MUSIC FEST BY THE LAKE' will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lake House, 1202 Kenlake Ave., Spring Hill. Performers include the Blues Band, young pop singer Daniela, country singer Judy K and Don Wade doing golden oldies. There will also be arts and crafts, children's games, vintage car exhibits, door prizes, the Fire Safety House and food vendors. Sponsors are the Kiwanis Club of Spring Hill. All proceeds go to youth charities. Admission is $5; parking is free.

SUNRISE OF PASCO will sponsor the "Acoustic-Electric Music Festival & Rally" from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Queen of Peace Hall behind the Sims Park Amphitheater in Sims Park, New Port Richey. Performers include Hazard Factor, Yvonne Morales, Tara Heywood and Dave Eichenberger. Speakers will talk about free counseling services available to Pasco County victims of sexual assault and their families.

BLUE STAR HIGHWAY will headline the Hernando County Fine Arts Council's "Bandshell Bash" from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hernando Park, 205 E Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville. Blue Star Highway plays top-40 tunes. Opening act is Fred Campbell playing oldies. Other events include the Brooksville Cruise-in antique and hot-rod car show, as well as crafts, arts and food vendors.

THE CITIZENS ALLIANCE FOR PROGRESS will present "Gospel Explosion" at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 students and center members.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM "SOUTH PACIFIC' will be performed by the Florida Lyric Opera at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 students and center members. Call 942-5605.

PINELLAS OPERA LEAGUE will show a video of Rimsky-Korsakov's Mlada at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. There is no admission charge.

THE FLORIDA ORCHESTRA will perform 2005-06 season highlights, with Stefan Sanderling conducting, at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The program includes movements from Beethoven's First, Fifth and Seventh Symphonies and features principal French horn player James Wilson in Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 3. SUNCOAST HARMONY CHORUS chapter of Sweet Adelines International will perform at a friends and family night at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gulf High School in New Port Richey. The program includes the songs the 46-member chorus will perform in a competition in Orlando on April 16. Admission is free.

THE "SINGING STRINGS' will perform at the Performing Arts Guild of Pasco County luncheon on Wednesday at Spartan Manor, Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey. The doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon, followed by the performance and installation of officers. Lunch and show are $13. Call 869-2257 by 5 p.m. today for reservations.

VISUAL ARTS

THE ALL MEDIA WILDLIFE ART SHOW opens today and continues through May 6 at the West Pasco Art Guild, 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey. An opening reception is 4 to 6 p.m. today, at which time winners will be announced. The show will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and, after that, 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Entries include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, colored pencil, casting, clay and carvings.

THE ART EXHIBIT, "IMPRESSIONS' continues through April 30 at the Progress Energy Art Gallery, two doors south of Richey Suncoast Theatre on Grand Boulevard, New Port Richey. The exhibit includes watercolors by Jo Baughman; oil paintings by Suzanne Urash-Flores; and sculptures by Elizabeth Perenich-Weaver. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

LEEPA-RATTNER MUSEUM OF ART continues an exhibit by Vietnamese-American conceptual artist Hoang Van-Bui and area high school students under his direction through April 24 at the museum, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students. Sunday is free to everyone.

THREE MURAL SCULPTURES will be dedicated at 2 p.m. Thursday at the South Holiday Library, 4649 Mile Stretch Road, Holiday. Refreshments will be served.
