TAMPA - Firefighters had a busy 24 hours between Monday night and Tuesday, fighting residential and commercial fires across the county.

A pot left on a hot stove sparked a fire Monday night in the kitchen of a Tampa home, causing about $20,000 in damage.

The fire started at 6:45 p.m. at 6726 N River Blvd., south of the Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Bill Wade said.

Also, Tuesday morning, a double-wide trailer caught fire at 6012 Edina St. in Wimauma. Half the trailer was engulfed in flames when Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews arrived before 9 a.m., said agency spokesman Ray Yeakley.

Tuesday afternoon, a fire inside Tia's Tex-Mex restaurant, 2815 E Fowler Ave., prompted employees to evacuate until Tampa Fire Rescue crews arrived shortly after 2 p.m.
