Hop down to Miami for a P. Diddy vibe
Spring break will get a hip-hip vibe in Miami later this month with some of the hottest stars in R&B, hip-hop and reggae including Trick Daddy, Beenie Man, Fat Joe, Faith Evans, Ciara, The Game, Tango Redd and some two dozen others.
The party scene is hosted by P. Diddy, one of the city's biggest boosters.
Hip-hop stars are already using South Beach as both a retreat and a recording spot to test new music. They also are taking up residence, rubbing shoulders with fellow Miami homeowners Trick Daddy, Trina, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, producer Scott Storch, Lauryn Hill, Timbaland, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Fat Joe and Usher. Not to mention, of course P. Diddy, owner of both fancy homes and fancy clubs.
The concert is April 30 at Bayfront Amphitheater. But it's the after parties, hosted by the Bad Boy founder, at trendy South Beach clubs where you can see and be seen with celebs and other beautiful people. The parties will run until 5 a.m. and cost $50 to $200 a ticket to get in the door.
Count on hearing a lot of good music both in the concert and the clubs since artists recording in Miami take their stuff straight to the nearest hot club and radio DJs.
Here's the deal Miami Springfest with P. Diddy, Ciara, Trick Daddy, The Game and many others will be at the Bayfront Amphitheater on April 30. Gates open at 3 p.m., show time at 4:50 p.m. Tickets: $35 through Ticketmaster or online at www.miamispringfest.com.
