The Amityville Horror The only film opening wide is The Amityville Horror, a remake of the 1979 hit that starred James Brolin and Margot Kidder as a couple creeped out by a haunted house. Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder) and Melissa George (TV's Alias) play a recently married couple who move (with her three children from a previous marriage) into a beautiful home on Long Island and start experiencing strange and unsettling phenomena.
