RUSKIN - About 200 deputies and volunteers expanded their search Thursday for missing 13-year-old Sarah Lunde, even as they went back over a few areas where search dogs picked up a scent Wednesday.
Hillsborough Capt. Craig Latimer did not say where the scent was picked up, but said searchers "want to check and double check." Among the volunteers that showed up before dawn was Mark Lunsford, whose 9-year-old daughter Jessica was kidnapped and found murdered last month in Homosassa. Latimer said Kelly May, Lunde's mother was "more than happy to have him out here."
He said the sheriff's office continued to receive tips overnight following the distribution of 1,000 fliers in English and Spanish and national media coverage of the case.
