Published April 14, 2005

On April 7, the space shuttle Discovery was rolled to the launch pad at NASA's Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, above, awaiting the shuttle program's return to space for the first time in more than two years.

Tickets are now available to view the launch from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, the two closest spots for the public. The launch currently is scheduled for May 15, but could take place as late as June 3.

The tickets must be purchased in advance for $37 plus tax for adults and $27 plus tax for ages 3 to 11. Other ticket packages include a meal with an astronaut. For more information, call 321 449-4444 or visit www.KennedySpaceCenter.com
