MAINSAIL DOCKS

Mainsail Arts Festival is still growing after 30 years. This year's edition features fine art and crafts by 280 artists from 33 states. The show is in Vinoy Park on the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. NOW LANDING, CHRIS STILL

Tampa International Airport on Saturday shows off its just completed Airside C, which will be the new home of Southwest, Spirit, Midwest and Independence airlines. The open house from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. features kids activities, refreshments and the first look at a new mural, Final Boarding Call, by Christopher Still. Parking is free, too, in the short-term garage for those going to the event. Once the airside is in use, only ticketed passengers will be allowed. (813) 870-8719.

RODEO 'RANGLING

The Professional Cowboy Association brings its Championship Rodeo to the Hernando County Fair tonight through Sunday. Tickets are $10 advance, $12 at the gate for adults, including fair admission, and $4 to $5 for ages 4 to 12. COMICS FANS CONVENE

For art of a different kind, check out the Tampa Comic Book and Toy Convention from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Featured: artists including Ethan Van Sciver of Green Lantern: Rebirth, Nicola Cuti, Dick Kulpa, Brandon McKinney and Mark and Stephanie Heike, plus thousands of comic books, toys, videos and trading cards and costumed characters. IN THE STARS

The Museum of Science and Industry celebrates Astronomy Day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday with telescope displays, skywatching, an open house in the Saunders Planetarium and evening SkyWatch "star party." JAHJA LING RETURNS

Former music director Jahja Ling conducts the Florida Orchestra Saturday through Monday, with violinist Robert McDuffie playing Bernstein's Serenade.
