Jury chosen for trial of man accused of shooting deputy

INVERNESS - A jury was selected Friday in the trial of the man accused of shooting a Citrus County sheriff's sergeant.

Larry Edward Robbins, 27, was arrested May 30, 2003, and is accused of shooting Sgt. David "Pasta" DeCarlo. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery on an officer and possession of a firearm by a felon. The trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
