CAREER DAY: The educational committee of the Afro-American Club

will hold a Career Day from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Forest Ridge Elementary School.

DINNER AND A GOOD BOOK NIGHT: Forest Ridge Elementary School students and their families are invited to a hot dog supper and story station night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tonight. Attending children will each receive a free book to add to their home libraries.

CITRUS HIGH BAND PARENT/STUDENT ORIENTATION: Students interested in participating in the 2005-06 Citrus High Marching Canes as a musician or in the color guard must attend an orientation with a parent. One will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the band room. Handbooks will be distributed and policies and tentative schedules will be discussed. Call Jason Koon at 726-1218.

Homosassa Elementary School: 3-5 p.m.; 628-2953.

Lecanto Primary School: 5-7 p.m.; 746-2220.

May 10:

Floral City Elementary School: 2-4 p.m.; 726-1554.

May 11:

Inverness Primary School: 3-6 p.m.; 726-2632.

May 12:

Hernando Elementary School: 3-5:30 p.m.; 726-1833.

Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 and zoned for the school they will attend. Bring the following information:

Birth certificate.

Social Security card.

Completed school physical form.

Immunization form.

Proof of residence (copy of an electric bill, water bill, cable bill or home telephone bill).
