TODAY

WALK FOR CANCER: Cancer survivors and friends will start a marathon walk at 6 p.m. at the J.C. Handly Sports Complex, 3104 S Kings Ave., Brandon. The Relay for Life around a candlelit oval track will last until 11 Saturday morning to benefit the American Cancer Society. The society is seeking donors for the luminaria, or candles, as well as cancer survivors and other volunteers to walk any distance. Call 685-0670, ext. 112.

SATURDAY

BALLET GROUP: The Brandon Ballet presents Cinderella in three acts at two locations today and Sunday. Today's performance starts at 7:30 p.m. at the performing arts theater of Blake High School, 1701 N Boulevard, Tampa. Tickets are $20 for reserved seats, $15 for general seating and $15 for anyone age 17 or younger. The troupe moves to the Polk Theater on Sunday, 121 S Florida Ave., Lakeland, for a 5 p.m. curtain. Reserved seats are $20, with youth seating at $15 and no general admission. Call 684-4282.

DINNER THEATER: Murder in Sparkleville, a production of MurderS She Wrote Inc., starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Tampa Riverwalk Hotel, 200 N Ashley Drive. Tickets $46. Call 727-7012.

THURSDAY

HCC FUNDRAISER: A silent auction to benefit the Hillsborough Community College Foundation starts at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Mark and Christel Yaffe, collectors of rare music boxes and a 10-foot Murano glass chandelier. The foundation funds scholarships and other charitable projects. Former Tampa Bay Devil Ray and Hall of Famer Wade Boggs and his wife, Debbie, will attend; plus, there will be a silent auction of sports memorabilia. Tickets are $250. Call 253-7114.
