WASHINGTON - Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee prepared a list of about 20 questions Tuesday for John R. Bolton, including requests for e-mails and telephone logs relating to confrontations he has had with intelligence analysts, according to Senate staff.

Bolton, President Bush's embattled pick to be U.N. ambassador, spent part of his day in meetings on Capitol Hill.

The Senate committee is also setting up interviews over the next few days with former intelligence officers and subordinates who reported problems with Bolton.

Bolton's nomination stalled last week amid claims that he abused his authority, mistreated subordinates and misled the committee.

Questions being sent to Bolton cover a wide swath of issues.

Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., is pursuing details about Bolton's request for the identity of 10 officials involved in National Security Agency communications.

Dodd is also seeking e-mails and logs relating to Bolton's communications with intelligence analysts over testimony he was preparing to give in 2002 about whether Cuba was developing chemical and biological weapons.
