Published April 29, 2005

Three men wearing ski masks tied up a man and robbed his Himes Avenue apartment early Tuesday morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The 29-year-old victim was sitting in his living room in Grande Palm Village, 8649 Himes Ave., at 4:50 a.m. when the three men entered the home and argued with him, according to the Sheriff's Office. The robbers demanded the victim's valuables and pointed a handgun at his face, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's officials said the men stole jewelry and a stereo, ransacked the house, bound the victim's wrists and ankles and taped his mouth. They grabbed the victim's car keys and drove off in his 2001 blue Infiniti.

The victim was able to free himself and go to a neighbor's home to call deputies.
