ST. PETERSBURG - A 26-year-old man has been arrested in the shooting death of another man outside Quan Thanh Thao Vietnamese Restaurant earlier this year, authorities said Friday.

Chung N. Nguyen was arrested April 9 at Los Angeles International Airport after returning from Vietnam, where he had been visiting family. He arrived at Pinellas County Jail on Friday and faces a charge of first-degree murder, according to the Pinellas Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened Feb. 1 outside the restaurant on 34th Street N in St. Petersburg. The Sheriff's Office said Nguyen was fighting with Phong Thanh Bui, 20, when Nguyen pulled a gun and shot the 20-year-old, hitting him once in the abdomen. Bui died a day later.
