HOMOSASSA SPRING MUSICAL: Homosassa Elementary School's chorus will perform its spring musical, "Encore, The Music of Our Time," at 7 p.m. today in the school cafetorium. "Encore" highlights the music of the 20th century with songs from the great songwriters and artists of America. The 57-member chorus will sing and dance its way through a century of beloved music. Admission is free and the public is invited. Call 628-2953.
LECANTO HIGH MUSICAL REVIEW: The Panther Players of Lecanto High School will present "American Musicals Through the Decades," featuring tunes from Broadway shows including Showboat, South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Cabaret, Rent and Wicked. Shows are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Curtis Peterson Auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Proceeds benefit the school's musical theater program. NUTRITION PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Koala-Tee Academy Inc. is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Child Care Food Program. To get free and reduced-priced meals, parents of eligible children must apply for the program. Call 344-9338.
SPRING COMMENCEMENT: Central Florida Community College will hold its 2005 spring commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday on the center lawn of the Ocala campus, 3001 SW College Road.
Students Valerie Gallwitz and David Guerra each will give a commencement address.
George B. Vaughan, a professor at the University of North Carolina, will be presented the Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to Lori Hornby, a local businesswoman.

PROJECT GRADUATION: Lecanto High School senior parents are asked to attend weekly planning meetings for Project Graduation at 6:30 p.m. in the school library on Monday and May 16.
More parents are needed to help make this celebration night successful. Graduating seniors should sign up for the party in the cafeteria during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks.
Parents are asked to encourage graduating seniors to attend this chaperoned grad night party free of alcohol and drugs.
After graduation ceremonies, seniors who have signed up for the party are bused to the old Boy Scout Camp where they will remain until their return the next morning by bus to the high school.
The party will feature carnival-type games, a DJ, dancing, swimming, glo-volleyball, contests, caricature drawings, food, and lots of prize money and door prizes.
