Deputy says man admits groping 7-year-old boy

PORT RICHEY - A 23-year-old man was arrested early Thursday, accused of molesting a 7-year-old boy.

William Raymond Lawson of Tyler Drive faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation.

The boy told a Pasco sheriff's detective that Lawson fondled him twice Wednesday night.

After his arrest, Lawson admitted to groping the boy, a report said.

Lawson was held in the county jail Thursday in lieu of $50,000 bail.
